DUI Penalties
The penalties for a DUI in Kansas include fines, jail time, court-ordered suspension of your driving privileges and the potential impoundment of your vehicle. The severity of the penalty depends on if you have previously been convicted, or placed on diversion for DUI. Effective July 1, 2011, Courts now treat DUI occurrences more than 10 years old differently than occurrences with the las 10 years prior to the subject charge.
